Comment:

What can I say...? An other unforgettable show what will be in my memories forever! I just had to wait 16 long years (from the Face The Heat Tour in 1993) when my favourite band came to my hometown Budapest again. When I discovered the first giant poster out in the streets my heart was beginning to beat faster and faster. Fortunatelly we could contact with the local promoter so we got a stage pass again after the last show in Strasbourg in the last October. As a matter of fact we had already known that this show will be a very special performance because the Scorpions will play the song "White Dove" at the very first time in live on the stage. And they didn't do it alone! There were two special guests in the concert. The singer (Mecky) and the lead guitarist (Elephant) of the Omega who is a very famous and success hungarian band and the original written of the Scorps cover "White Dove". The Scorpions gave back the chance to them because Klaus and Rudy could be special guests and play three songs in an Omega show in Budapest at the beginning of September in 1994. Well, now they played "White Dove" and "Big City Nights" together. Besides the Omega members came into the stage at the end of "Wind Of Change" also. But let's start at the beginning...

The show had started like the other concerts in the last two years. After the Humanity Intro James Kottak came out at first and start the one of the tital track of the Scorps' llast album "Hour 1". Well, the first eight(!) songs came very fast and Klaus didn't talk so much like he does usually between the tracks. He was just greetings the audience in hungarian language "Hello Budapest! Hogy vagytok?". There was good feeling to listen to those great 70's like "Is There Anybody There" and "Lovedrive". This album should be the most favourite of the band because they always play 5-6 tracks about it. The ballads part wasn't too long. "Send Me An Angel" and "Holiday" what a mid-tempo slow song was following "You And I". The trakclist was very similar to their last show in Montbéliard (except the Uli part) and I was very happy that they didn't drop out one of my favourite song "Rhythm Of Love". They connected this great stuff to the next song "Bad Boys Running Wild" what Matthias began with a short guitar solo. Good job! :) Well, the best part of the show was the 'fast-block'. From "Hit Between The Eyes" to the end of "Dynamite" the band had been unbelievable. They had jumped, run and play with full of energy. They didn't look like 60 years old people! The Omega part hadn't been so great and it's not the Scorps' fault. They didn't practice the songs enough and the Omega members looked matusalem and old grandfathers near Klaus and Rudy. But they are about in the same ages. Mecky tried to sing "Big City Nights" but he had some problems with the lyrics. By the way Klaus had got the lyrics wrong too much. There had been 5-6 songs where he blundered. But who cares? How they say...'the magic of the live music'. :) After one of the most success classics "Rock You Like A Hurricane" the band thanked the big supporting of the fantastic hungarian audience with the second encore "When The Smoke Is Going Down".

Finally, the Scorpions played a fantastic show again and the local media had written only good words about them and the concert. They are still at the top as a musicians and as people too! They gave their 100% to the crowd and the people enjoyed the whole show! I hope that I don't need to wait 16 years again for the next Scorpions show in Hungary...

Quality:

My great friend made a fantastic quality recording as always! Congratulations! :) Well, the picture and the sound are very clear. He used the zoom very often. He could sit in the left side of the tribune and nobody covered the video camera at the whole concert! There is a short part what is missing about the show. He had a problem with the camera at the beginning of the show so the first 30-40 seconds of the first song (Hour 1) had not been recorded. But the rest of the material is perfect!

Sorry but I don't trade this video! The taper asked me. He is not a trader, he just live the Scorps and records the concerts where he had been pesonally because of the beautiful moments.
