Comment:

Recorded from Section 5, Row A about fifty feet from the right PA stack, stealth. Row A is not the first row in this section. This venue has a Row A1! A steamy South Florida night. At least it didn't rain. Sold out show and the place is packed. Lots of hard core Scorp fans, assorted metal heads and a few drunks rocked out to the band's final "Get Your Sting And Blackout" tour. A high energy performance as one would expect from Scorpions. The band members are constantly running about the stage and playing off each other. Matthius had a big smile the entire night. These guys are having a blast doing what they do. They engaged the audience who participated by singing along to many songs. All the "just going through the motions because it's my job" bands could take a lesson from these guys. Fantastic show.

Bayfront Park Amphitheater is, of course, an outdoor venue and there was an occasional light breeze. This causes some wind noise in the mics and there is also some of the swirling effect you get from the air moving around. Neither is too objectionable though. The crowd near me were quite for the most part. You can hear some audience chatter in quieter sections, not too bad. The worst thing was when the beer man parked his wheel barrow next to me for 5 or 10 minutes blowing a whistle and bumping into me. I paid to hear a concert not a whistle in my ear. This ain't a baseball game. People, get your drinks before the show or get up and walk to the concession stand. Don't support these a-holes. This stuff is disrespectful to all those who come to enjoy (and tape) a concert. *OK, Beer man rant off* Some pictures I took and rudimentary artwork is included.

This is NOT a copy of the master recording. It has been altered in the following ways: levels adjusted and normalized, fades added at disc transitions, downsampled to 16 bit and tracks split all to make it compatible with audio CD format. No equalization or other sound alterations have been applied. (the taper: John G.)
