Comment:

The SCORPIONS with The San Jose Symphony, headlined Radio Station 107.7's "The Bone Bash 2000" on Saturday evening playing to about 12,000 fans at the Cow Palace. It was one of only 4 U.S. dates to promote this ambitious musical event. A mammoth undertaking, each instrument of the orchestra was individually miked: about 140 musicians, including 28 first violins, 18 second violins, 7 horns, 2 timpani and a harp. Plus the choir.

An amazing show, which I personally think is even better than the EXPO 2000-gig, that took place in Hannover 2000. The setlist is much more harder and the audience participation clearly takes the band to a higher level here. I have this show in DVD too and the crowd was fantastic there. They enjoy the show all along. Great versions 'We'll Burn The Sky', 'The Zoo', 'No One Like You' are added to the set. While these gigs were taking place in US this fall, I heard from the reviews that 'No One Like You' was played without the orchestra. Well at least in San Francisco the San Jose Philharmonic Orchestra is adding amazing dimension to this Scorps' classic. I love it. Also was pleased to hear a new Scorpions-tune I've never heard before; 'We Don't Own The World'. I read in the internet that they played this (dress rehearsal of the EXPO 2000-gig). I seriously think that this could have been a great song in the Moment Of Glory-album. Also after hearing 'The Zoo' and 'We'll Burn The Sky' with the orchestra, THEY SHOULD'VE BEEN ON THE ALBUM!!! It would've made the album much more rock-orientated. I still love the MOG-album, but for my taste, there was couple too many ballads. Lynn Liehty doubles 'Here In My Heart' with Mr. Meine and Jack Blade duets 'Big City Nights'. Klaus sings in Dynamite so it's a little bit different as in the album version. The show ends with 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' played without the orchestra. (MS)

Quality:

Good quality recording. Sound rip directly from the DVD version.
