Comment:

One of the last shows on the European-leg of Eye 2 Eye -tour '99. This show took place at the Swedish rock -festival in Karlstad. Other acts on the festival were amongst others David Lee Roth, Deep Purple, MSG and Dio. Must've been a great show! Sweden has trouble getting going with the Scorpions at first but as the show goes on audience starts to get into it. This audio is the last one with the two blondes on backing vocals. They do great job on Mysterious and Mind Like A Tree and especially on Always Somewhere. Still they're only there for harmonics. Klaus Meine is the person to sing the highest notes. Set has changed from the earlier European dates; '10 Light Years Away' and 'Is There Anybody There' are missing.'Bad Boys Running Wild' is brought in to get the crowd up on their feet. It does a good job, but two new songs aren't so greatly welcomed. 'A Moment In A Million Years' ends the show as 4th encore. Noticeable is Matthias' solo on 'The Zoo' when he uses a harmonizer on it and the effect is quite cute. Wish he'd do it all the time. Great show all in all. Obviously many came to that show for Dio and Deep Purple and because of that don't like what they hear/see. In my book this is one of the best one's from the '99-tour.  (MS)

Quality:

Some strange problem with the audio. Left channel keeps clicking almost non-stop and some problems with right one too. Analog copy of the DAT-master and should be the 2-3rd generation. Performance of course full 10/10.
