Comment:

Fantastic concert only after 1,5 month of the new album Eye II Eye's releasing. A perfect performance of the new songs. The Scorpions played an absolute amazing alloy of the new songs and old classics. The intor is a little bit eccentric because there are some short seconds from old Scorps songs and a lady talks about the new website! Funny! My big favourite is the ballad-block with "10 Light Years Away", Always Somewhere" and "Holiday". One of the greatest slow-set I think. The acoustic guitars have super sound together. As a matter of fact Eye II Eye is not really my fav album. I like the music and the lyrics but the instrumentation had been hampered because of the lot of grooves, effects, samplers and so on. But when I heard the live version of these new materials I discovered how topping they are! The "Mysterious", the "Du Bist So Schmutzig" and the "To Be No.1" sound great in live. Totaly different like in the studio version. Klaus talks about their old success and the great old classics like "Steamrock Fever", "Fly To The Rainbow" and so on. He said that they have a new website where the fans would like to hear about these old 70's again. So they played "In Trance". The version is perfect. I like it so much. My other fav is "The Zoo". The jam is fantastic in the middle of the song. The crowd and the band are in same 'wave-length'!!! :)) Ralph is still so great! The "Moment In A Million Years" is a perfect sound for the cut-off a concert. The band followed the system what well-tired from 1996 when the last song had been a slow song ("When The Smoke Is Going Down"). Good idea! :)

Quality:

A perfect audience recording about the Eye II Eye European tour. Very very clear and the instruments have perfect sound. The "Holiday" is in two parts on the recording. The slow and the fast part. Between these two part there is the audience and Klaus' acapella on it at both tracks. One of my greatest material about the band's 1999 european tournament! Simple amazing...
