This audio is from the Japan-tour 1994. This was one of the most successful tours during the Face Heat -tour '93 - '94. Japanese crowd still loves German metal and you can hear it too. Setlist shows no major changes, Michael Schenker was brought to Japan also. During the acoustic set, the band allowed Michael perform one of his own songs from the acoustic album he had recorded; 'Positive Forward'; very melodic guitarsong, that shows how good a songwriter Michael really is. For a nice surprise Scorpions played also a song from 'Blues Brothers' -movie; 'Everybody Needs Somebody'. Although it sounds as if Klaus doesn't know every word from the lyrics it's still is quite exciting to hear them cover something on their show. Very rare thing to happen during the days of fame. This was somewhat different during the early 70's when Scorpions played Hendrix- and Elvis-stuff all the time. (MS) |
